The File menu contains both basic and advanced options for managing your game and setting up Studio.
An RBXL file contains a location that defines a 3D world in Roblox, an online multiplayer building game. It stores information that describes the playing field, which consists of 3D models (.RBXM files), parts, tools, scripts, and teams.RBXL files can be created and opened with Roblox Studio.

Open from File... | Opens a saved place from a local file. If you already have a place open, the chosen place will open in a new Studio window. | |

Close File | Closes the place you currently have open. | |
Save to File | Saves the place to a local file on your computer. | |
Save to File As... | Lets you save the place to a new local file on your computer. | |
Save to Roblox | Saves the place to the cloud. | |
Publish to Roblox | Publishes the place to Roblox. | |
Publish to Roblox As... | Publishes the place to Roblox using a new slot (or overwrites an existing slot). | |
